Who We Are and What We Do
Owens & Associates Investigations (OAI) is a private investigations firm based in San Diego, California and made up of a world-wide network of former FBI agents and other law enforcement officers. Investigated the Lincoln Savings & Loan/Charles Keating, Jr. scandal on behalf of bondholders who lost over $200 million.
Solved San Diego’s longest serial rapist case, known as the “Room for Rent Rapist.”
Provided corporate security for top-level executives of San Diego's General Dynamics Corporation during the Gulf War.
Conducted environmental investigation of the $200 million Belmont Learning Complex in downtown Los Angeles, CA.
Successfully investigated a major fraud against a U.S. insurance company committed by approximately 15 insurance agents in Baja, CA.
Successfully investigated a case wherein the subject of the investigation pled guilty to conspiring to commit securities fraud. In essence, the subject took a short position in the stock of a publicly-traded company then published unsubstantiated allegations against the company and profited from the resulting devaluation of the company’s stock.
