Corporate Security
The adequate protection of human, financial and physical assets
is essential to the well-being of the corporate entity.
Consideration should be given to the following concerns for
security:
Human Resources
Executive protection plans are being established by many
corporations to counteract the increasing threat of terrorism and
disgruntled worker violence. This threat has overburdened law
enforcement agencies and has caused many corporations to retain
private security agencies to set up and administer these plans.
Through Owens & Associates Investigations worldwide network of
former law enforcement officers, it can provide personnel of the
highest caliber and qualifications to assess the protective risks
and to establish a plan that encompasses liaison with intelligence
agencies, logistics, vehicle movement, close proximity protection
and seminars for executives and their families.
Financial
Illegal and unethical acts from within a company threaten the
integrity of corporate assets and information. Senior management who
suspect their company is being victimized by such conduct as
misappropriation of assets or earnings through theft, embezzlement,
fraud or other illegal means must be able to substantiate their
suspicions to stop existing losses and prevent future similar
activity. OAI can conduct confidential and discrete inquiries into
suspect activities without premature disclosure, alerting the
offenders or undermining the organization's day-to-day activities.
OAI also can collect reliable information about the suspected
conduct, thereby maximizing the client's ability to assess the
extent of losses, attempt recovery of assets or documents and
contain or prevent damaging financial impact on the company. OAI can
detect these practices and provide evidence to management with a
minimum of delay and publicity.
Physical
Theft, fraud, industrial espionage, kidnapping, extortion and
other crimes against businesses can be greatly minimized by taking
proper precautions. OAI can work with in-house staff to improve
security and make it more cost-effective by reviewing existing
security arrangements, determining areas of vulnerability and making
recommendations for improvements, including a Crisis Management
Plan.
Also included in OAI's experience base is the capability of
working with company staff in providing in-depth planning prior to
labor unrest. Areas covered include upgrading of physical security,
the use of still and video photography, strike logs, police liaison
and maximizing the safety of employees.
